The problem with drafting him to begin with is that in Draft Day, 31 other teams shared the title of bigots.
The day you cut him, you are the lone team that is a bigot.

This shows he really didn't care about a football career at all. Everybody must shelve their personal opinions and tote the company line in the corporate world, he knew this going in and got paid. The Rams got paid from the exposure in hiring the first gay rights activist.
It ran its course and nobody is crying about it and most likely all involved are glad it's over.
