In the first half.

Arky has talent in their 1's, but no depth. I like the way Jeremy looks, but his lack of running really affects our running game. Love his passing skills.

Nick is a bad mofo.

D. Williams is bad arse

Melvin coming into his own.

P Barber gets me excited

D adjustments were quite good in 2nd as well.

I am out gents have to be somewhere...War Eagle!!!

I think we are just accustomed to the Marshall/Newton rushing attacks. Remember when Todd was QB that Tate was very effective. I think if we needed JJ to start, Gus would find a way to get running lanes. His arm will open them. He can run pretty well himself as well.

I've said before and will say again, Ellis is one of the best in the game at making in-game adjustments.

Game went better than I imagined.

I thought the first half was an indication of how the rest of the game would go, and that we'd gut out a win late. Instead, we came out in the 2nd half and thoroughly dominated.

I can't deny it - I'm considering giving in to my PosiBarner side......

JJ wasn't put in running situations. Gus wanted the read to be fresh for Ark D in 2nd half.

Yea I definitely thought the game was going to be closer than a lot of people were predicting then at half I was like "Damn didn't think it'd be this close!"

Then the second half happened and I was happy. :D If the defense can not have slow starts like that it'll be a good year!

Creole great point and one I missed. I remember hearing JJ had picked up the read option pretty good at some point this season. I agree with what you said and makes perfect sense.

Duke Williams is a beast but is raw. Was somewhat pissed with him when he had a 1st down and juked around and wound up losing 4 yards off the play.

Plus I think it will take actual game time for him to develop that. I mean Marshall didn't do much of it in the first game last year either. I think Gus actually kept things very vanilla tonight.

Duke is not raw. He may need to learn a couple of things but he isn't raw.

Geez. We finally have an elite WR and some of y'all just want to pick him apart. He had a great first game.

2nd half D adjustments reminded me of our D in 2010.
