I ain't to impressed with Rob Smith's defense, or atleast some of the calls.

nope. We got lineman running 4 yards deep into the backfield instead of plugging their gaps and watching for the ball.

The run defense was looking better until that last series. I do have faith in our D-line. The pass defense is atrocious though which is what I was most afraid of and I think the biggest question mark for all of us going into this game. It is going to be a very long season if they can't defend any better than they've shown so far. If the other team can score at will in the passing game nothing else really matters.
Our offense is playing really good with a fairly balanced attack but without good pass defense they will never be able to keep pace with the best teams. We never need to put ourselves in the position of being in a track meet.

Much better that 2nd quarter. TOP was equal in the 1st half so we shall see who wants it more when the heat takes its toll.

Auburn clearly looks better than us again this year in my opinion, but I am encouraged by what I have seen from Arkansas today. I'm not going to crucify Robb Smith for the defense today. It's his first game with these players and he has to go against an offensive juggernaut. The future is looking brighter.

Hard to open on the road against a good team.
This game will help us, but it sure would have been nice to have had 1 or 2 OOC games prior to this one.

After watching Ole Miss on Thursday and us so far today, I think we have a legit shot to win that. However, after watching A&M, I think that's an L. Funny how quickly preseason predictions can change.

we'll have to dig up our threads from the DC coaching search. I don't think any of us were too crazy with the Smith possibility.
Turned out we actually need Mitchel and Hines back there and Schiano was 100% on point.
This secondary is going to take 5-7 years off my life.
