This is the shite that pinkel does that pisses me off. He's gonna run this guy out there all year again so he can cost the team. nice 34 yard hook a-hole. Get a frickin kicker pinkel, damn.

I would go for it everytime. Chances are probably just as good.

That's right Pinkel go for the 55 yard field goal cause this bum has really proved to be reliable, he just has to make this kid a factor. Pinkel when you grab a tall glass make sure its Drano you POS.

not good. weak offense as predicted.

Looks like the D line is waking up. But what's up with the offense? And really, our WR cannot get separation from these guys?

Guys, relax.
It was the first game against an FCS, which amounts to a preseason game.
Let GP see what he's got. This game will not be indicative of anything going forward. Vanilla all the way around. GP is not going to let the rest of the SEC see what he really has in these games.
Much like last year, we'll see the real team around week 3 or 4. Until then, chill.
Also, yes Bagget sucks.
But we all already knew that.

Yes but Baggett will cost us games this year and that's BS. The team works too hard for him to frick it all up.

We could win the Natty and you'd find something to complain about.
If I had to guess you're old school Mizzou, therefore I understand your negativity.
Time to shed your childhood thoughts about Mizzou, and face it. Times have changed.
We don't get constantly fricked in the arse anymore.
We just might even be the ones sticking it in.
Let that sink in for a bit.

This game looked to me like Tigers hit the field in the first quarter and then Pinkel reined them in, because he doesn't like to run up the score. The team listened and dropped from game tempo to scrimmage tempo. Then when SDSU didn't stay dead, the boys had to step it back up.
The best part of the game was seeing HCGP displaying some emotion. For a moment I thought he might come dangerously close to getting tossed.
It was a "W", but it wasn't pretty and I am not convinced that this game was a good presentation of our Tiger's actual capabilities.

The fact that the OL didn't perform against an FCS team worries me. You would think with a dumbed down playbook, it would have made protections easier. WR's worried me. Would have liked to have seen Brown, Lee and Moore get involved. Mauk gave me a little concern.
Thought the D actually played fairly well. Had the 1 freak play to start the game but then settled in.
Special teams...as bad as Baggett is, Murphy is just as good.

How can we not find a kicker? I'm more than comfortable burning another scholarship just to pull a soccer player from somewhere. I'm hoping he only costs us one game this year.

Bagget is the only one I'm complaining about. The team will be fine, they looked bad against the cupcakes last year. I just don't want to lose because of Bagget, can't you understand where I'm coming from?

Pretty much this. I'm not freaking out and down on any player other than Baggett. Simply not gonna say player X had a good game if he didn't. They'll get better. Baggett on the other hand, well he does what he does.
ETA - Imagine how bad the other kickers must be to not be able to beat him out.

one of the things I, and btw, the epsn announcer also noticed, is that several times Mauk ran out of the pocket when he didn't have to, as the announcer put it "trying to make something happen" not because he was forced out.
When we weren't telegraphing a run play, we ran pretty effectively, so no, not too worried about the O line play. That was really one of the better positional unit performances of the game, in fact outside of Mauk losing track of the play, it seems the whole offense looked pretty decent.
