Auburn fans: Do you like opening the season with a SEC game?

Personally I wish we had a cupcake or two just for confidence and getting everything starting to gel well, on the other side both of teams should be as fresh as possible.
So, like idea of starting the season with an SEC opponent or no?

No. Don't mind a solid opponent, but would prefer it be ooc.

I don't. I believe Auburn to be better than arky however I would have liked for our guys to have seen film from this season and understand that ya'll will be improved before playing you. So it is a bit of a sleeper type game. Everyone will say you should be ready for the opener but they always forget they are 18-21 year old boys. They don't always do the right things.

I would rather open with a weak OOC game, honestly. That gives the guys a chance to knock the rust off. It is what it is though.

Technically, they ARE opening with a cupcake. Named Arkansas. I think Troy State would give them a better game.

Not an Auburn fan but I see no benefit with opening the season with a conference opponent.

Close only counts in horseshoes, BigRob. We have a new Turkey Day rival in TAMU. Arkansas' status as a contender went on a ten year hiatus when Bobby P. took that little motorcycle ride. His press conference afterwards and the John L. Smith clown show won't soon be forgotten. Arkansas is so far behind the eight ball in recruiting with regards to the rest of the SEC west, I see the Hogs as a permanent bottom feeder going forward.
