For all the shite talking and comparing over the off season of Spurrier vs Saban, Saban hasnt got beat like that since he's been at Alabama.
I would make a joke about spending too much time on the golf course but thats been covered already.

I'm always amazed at the ability of Alabama fans to make everything about them, even games they didn't play.

I guess we just got sick of the ole ball coach telling Saban how to do things. Maybe Nick can get Steve off of the golf course and make him understand he's still a football coach first and foremost. Bama fans aren't upset but USC fans should be.
Spurrier explained the difference between himself and Saban and how his mentality differs from the SEC’s $7 million man.
“I told Nick Saban one time, I said, ‘Nick, you don’t have to stay there until midnight and your teams would be just as good and win just as many,’ ” Spurrier said. “He said, ‘If I could do it the way you do it, I would, but I don’t feel comfortable unless I try to cover every base, every angle, be totally prepared.’ I said, ‘Well, that’s probably why you do it.’ When I come out there, I feel comfortable we are ready to play. We have our game plan in, going to call this, call that and so forth. Everybody is different as far as when they feel they are totally prepared.”

In defense of OP, it serves Spurrier right.
Talked his way through the entire offseason and then got obliterated at home. His trolling finally caught up to him....and it's freaking hilarious.

But Spurrier is at South Carolina. Huge difference. I don't know if Saban could even put three 11 win seasons in a row together there.
