What will it take to be impressed by UF's offense in Game 1?

It's Idaho so the SECR will critique even a 77-0 score with the offense putting up 1000 yards. I get that.

For me, I'd like to see a good balance of not only run and pass but also balance in the passing attack between short and deep throws. The Pease offense didn't go down field much and I miss that part of the game.

I'd also be impressed with some poise from JD, good OL blocking and running backs having fun again. I don't think they've had much fun recently.

What will it take for you to be impressed with what Roper has brought to the table?

No OLs blocking each other.
We'll start there and move up.

I'll take some time to explain football to you later.

OLs did not block each other. You can usually tell the difference between the position groups by their size and numbers. Start there and we'll move up.

Sooo, just improvement from last years debacle?

240 yards in the air and 98 on the ground?

It is Idaho, bro. I don't think much can be taken from the game. Offensive consistency and play calling will be something to look at.

That's kind of the point. Even if we slaughter Idaho and the offense looks like aTm it will still be "It was just Idaho".

I wonder if that Idaho D is close to USC though?

My deepest apologies.

I'm not sure what was worse. A WR and an OL blocking each other or the fact that the OL got no push on his WR.

you can only take so much from beating up on the little sisters of the poor. If the offense struggles that is going to be really bad since it is against a shite team. If they look good it should give some hope but you have to keep it in check.

More explanations are needed I see. Sealing an edge requires a push?

Do you even watch the OL play ever?

Agreed. However, after 4 years of shitty O, I'll be super excited about an offensive outburst.

We have PEEJ on our side.

Offense needs to look efficient. Keep Driskel upright. Eliminate turnovers while pushing ball downfield.

the peej curse might be the best thing UF has going for it. FWIW I hope UF gets 8 or 9 wins this year. Id like to see them up end bama and keep boom for a few more years to drive y'all into just being average. Foley seems to have lost his edge as AD

To be fair Boom was a hot commodity for a while with a lot of big name job openings, he just hasn't delivered as most thought he would so far.

What? We still winning ships in lots of sports and just need football to tighten up.

Are you basing that on his belief in Muschamp?

The good news is that we will know if Foley is right by late mid-November and he dust off that coaching search list. Either way, we'll be fine.
