The most productive thing most of the rant can do today

Rather than spend the rest of the day talking about how A&M is going to win the national championship and Spurrier has lost his touch, most of us should consider how SURE we were that A&M was in trouble this year and South Carolina had a stout team. Most of us spent the last several months reinforcing our assumptions, and it took just a few hours to challenge everything we "knew" about these two teams. And that's just the first SEC game of the year.
I love the first week of college football.

It never turns out how you think.

I feel like this thread is really about Auburn.

The most productive thing I could do today would be my job, but alas, here I am.

And to be fair, moving forward from last night, it still may not.

Definitely eye opening, I had fun giving both teams shite, but what we can gather is Kenny Hill is the truth, USC was overrated (not saying they suck, just saying they were WAY over hyped), and we still have unknowns on how aTm will perform against a good defense.

Same. If anyone expects much productivity from me the Friday of Labor Day weekend, they're sorely mistaken.

Also, I thought there was a 2 week grace period before dickriding was allowed. What happened? Mods, help us out here?

exactly. its fairly common to still be pretty deluded even into week 2. I'd be especially wary when dealing with A&M. they are like the premature ejaculators of the league, always peaking too soon and finishing pretty flat.

Downvoted because I'm not doing anything productive today.

It wouldn't be near this bad if SC fans hadn't gone so crazy in the last week with their smack talk.
But hey, it's the Rant, right?

I'm glad I'm usually not as wrong as the rest of you. Today I'm congratulating myself on that.

let 'em ride. then after weeks 5-7 or there about we can sit back and have a hilarious laugh watching them all find out they got herpes from it!
