I've always wondered why they lock this board and move to another board. What exactly is the point in that? What purpose does it serve?

I keeps the mass of stupid threads an random thought threads that belong in the game thread on that board so when game day is over this board isn't messed up with that stuff.

This is actually my first gameday since posting here. So, tRANT is actually shutdown at game time?

Because a turnover will happen and 7 people will start a thread about it (despite their being a game thread already).
The theory im sure is to not have the board completely thrown up on. Once the games are over they can just take the trash that is the scoreboard and toss it.

It shuts down, they open the score board, which is a separate board that you can post all of your meaningless threads in, and when the madness is over, they can easily delete the rubbish... and we come back to the rant
