When do we renovate the East side of BDS?

Was just looking at some street view pics of BDS today and got to thinking. After renovating the north and south entrance, the east side desperately needs a face lift. This is the side that faces the sororities.

Looks ok to me... But I doubt that they're going to do anything with the stadium for a while. But I would love to re-do the upper East and West Decks. They look so different from the newer ones. Maybe add some more seats as well.

I would love to connect the upper decks and make it a giant bowl like at Tennessee, but I know that's only a dream.

The West side doesn't have the luxury boxes. They just have that one big luxury suite.

The West side would be done first.

West side needs to be rebuilt or remodeled.

I say tear down the ramps in the corners and build condos. Different design for the ramps that does not take up as much space.

It's actually the West stands that face sorority row. I doubt that side ever gets much of a facelift. That street doesn't get a whole lot of traffic outside of local traffic, so it's not real visible. Why dump a bunch of money into sprucing it up when hardly anyone will see it? Only thing I could see them doing is putting brick around those concrete support beams.

The west side of the stadium faces the sorority houses to the east?

Seems legit.

No, I have seats on the West. The West is the home side. The East facing the sororities is the visitor side.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about so maybe I'm confused on the use of "facing" sorority row. We used to have seats in the West Upper Deck, the one built in the 80s with the chair backs. When sitting in those seats, I was facing sorority row. I assumed he was talking about the outside on that side of the stadium. But I guess he was talking about the outside of the stadium that faces sorority row. Either way, both sides look pretty bland.

I think the next major project would be luxury boxes in the West stands. They've talked for years about possibly lowering the field and bringing the stands closer to the field but I think the dimensions of the North/South endzone seats prevent that. The sightlines would be horrific.

Would love for them to fill in the gaps in the corners but two things prevent that:

1) All of the decks are at different heights due different coded at the time of construction.

2) BDS doesn't need any more seats at the moment considering the uncertainty of future attendance trends across the nation. In fact, one could make a case that we overexpanded with the South Endzone.

As for the West side of the stadium. I know a few years ago they had some plans of a big retail development on that part stadium but the economy has obviously changed things. One thing I wish they would do is put a big wall around the cemetary.

Wasn't there some issue with the ground underneath the field that prevented them from doing this? Almost positive they looked into doing this as part of one of the renovations, but there was some issue with the ground that wouldn't allow it.
