GSB Tailgating/Athens Plans/Bars/Etc MegaThread

There's been talk about some posters wanting to meet up with others, so I figured we could condense everything to one thread that can constantly be updated as needed. I figured people might not want to put out phone numbers or emails, so this way if you're downtown or tailgating somewhere and are interested in meeting others, it can just be discussed here.
For me, I'll start out Saturday morning at a lot near Baxter/Milledge. Will hang there for a few hours then head towards the Broad area and possibly meet up with dallas/rig others (if that invite was serious? Sometimes it's hard to tell with rig..), then end the day over at Baldwin Hall. Will definitely be going out Saturday night somewhere.

I was wanting to go by and meat up* with Dallas at BBT but now my wife has morning to early afternoon plans and we won't be getting downtown until about 1, and have to go meat up* with some Harrison High folk too, and still eat food and get into the Theater before it hits capacity.

Had to cancel plans due to my boss scheduling a meeting in NoVa on Friday afternoon unfortunately. I'll be there in spirit. By that I mean I'll be hammered by early afternoon and yelling at the television.

I'm only doing 4 home games this year, CU, UT, AU & GT. My son is using my Troy, Vandy & CSU tix...
FWIW...With the heat this Sat. I won't be there til noonish & am hooking up with my long time tailgate group at BB&T. We're just gonna do burgers, dogs & apps, will be too hot to get too fancy yet. Makers Mark & Diet Coke for me. We'll hang out for an hour or so after the game to let traffic die down a little, then head back west...
Hopefully with a big 'ole W under our belt...

I found out about two weeks ago so I at least got a chance to sell the ticket but I was pretty bummed. Just too long a drive to make by myself with a one day turnaround and wasn't going to ask my friends to leave Richmond at 7 pm to drive all the way. Honestly would rather watch it on TV at that point. I would have done what deeprig said but gotta save some funds.

Hey, dumb question but I never have gone to the bars for gameday.
Do they have gameday on? And can you bring your cooler in if you buy drinks? Pretty dumb question but it must be asked.

Wondering the same thing.
And about when does the Theater hit capacity for the game? Need a place to potentially post up with a group of folks. We can manage a bar if we have to, but I hear the Theater is the tits for games.

Yea, usually I just watched it at my place and or went to the tailgate. It's 5:30 kick, I'll head to Sanford at 4:30, so that gives me 4 and a half hours to drink outside. I wanna enjoy gameday but I don't wanna watch it and then struggle to get a cab from the place I am staying. If I can get downtown and blow all of my paycheck and watch gameday while holding on to the rest of my paycheck in my cooler than I'll be happy as a clam.
