From Friday morning last week on 680 The Fan Bulldawg Round Table. 30 minute listen
Streaming
LINK When it opens, click down to the second podcast with McClendon. The top one that starts playing automatically with Chip Towers is boring and pointless.
Gurley conditioning, body fat, post-play recovery, how to not just take hits, but deliver pain to a tackler, effects of hype.
Marshall- ACL, previous knee issues, limitations, recovery, delivery of force from lower body to upper body with both legs
Douglas- hard worker
Commercial- Georgia's Own Credit Union, Wellstar Health systems.
Chubb/Michel- maturity, work ethic, came from tough-coached programs and accept tough coaching, not impressed with stars/rankings, learning playbook faster than any other running backs he's ever coached.
Chubb- "more of a hammer", good receiver, solid fundamentals, smart
Michel- "plays more loose", catches ball more gracefully more like a receiver, very coachable, playing varsity as an 8th grader
Both will play.
Camp talk.
Ends with a discussion about recruiting. Team effort, staff and players all play their part. Not a one-man job, no one man gets credit for good recruiting. How to work the family and build relationship with recruits. Social media, good players want to play with other good players, commits will recruit for you and can do stuff you can't do per NCAA. Recruits building cliques on social media with each other as freshmen and sophomores in HS, have to know who is friends with who and know the cliques.
Summary, most of Dowdle's Bulldog Roundtables are generic and don't offer much interest to people who already follow the program closely (like us), but this was a really good one.

Samson'ssee'sdesd'deed........ This is how you start a thread on game week. One gold star for Deeprig - and I'm convicted it's cause you are sober ;)

I agree Bulldog Round Table leaves alot to be desired however I did enjoy listening Coach McClendon. I liked to hear that Gurley is "running angrier".

The round table yesterday was good listening to them interview the Clemson writer. It was good to hear him talk objectively about UGA and his own team.
Made some interesting points and his opinions weren't complete homerism...... I enjoyed it

I was driving to a customer meeting. I spend a good bit of time in the car.
