It's high time that Verne be put out to pasture.

Gary's ok but carries a know-it-all attitude.

I wish CBS would get some new blood for the supposed SEC game of the week.

frick that. Verne and Gary are SEC football. Wouldn't be the same without them, as bad as they can be at times.

Keith Jackson ain't walking through the door. Appreciate what we've got

Gary is great. Verne is senile, but I'm not complaining.

Woody Paige should get a shite at the color analyst spot. He'll rep the Vols.

Gary is the best in his profession. He knows the game and does a good job with his analysis of the plays/game. Verne, meh I can live with him as part of the crew, I'd rather have someone else but not sure who's better?

I like Verne, but it is time for him to move on. It took me a while yo get used to Danielson, but he is one of my favorite color analysts.

Nessler and Blackledge are the best out there.

I don't judge Gary on his performance negatively at all. His job is to try to keep Vern on topic and correct him when needed. He, in my opinion, has been very patient while doing his job as best he can. Some games I thought he should have been Sainted for his efforts.

Don't you think all sportscasters have a know-it-all attitude?

I love the duo and hope they will be around for many more years.

I like them as a duo, and I'm too used to them for change.

I like Verne, but Gary can really suck sometimes.

This. His voice was iconic with college football on Saturday night.

I agree. They add character and make it feel like it's a special event.

I'd rather have that then some cookie cutter announcers who pronounce all names correctly but are canned and unmemorable like 90% of the others.

What sucks now is that CBS doesn't even college football until that stupid US tennis Open is done.
Seriously, they could split up the network and show football in 49 states and let the New Yorkers have their tennis matches.

I wish Nessler & Blackledge would take their places, or at least replace Verne with Nessler. I just can't stand Verne anymore. His overly-dramatic guffaws & inability to distinguish the replay from live action have gotten to be too much to overlook. Gary does a good job; I appreciate his insight. But Verne is just awful.

I fear the day Verne literally explodes on a broadcast. The man has super high blood pressure.
