In this first year of the CFPO what is this happens:

ACC: 12-1 FSU UF somehow pulls an upset keeping them from the undefeated season.

SEC:
Bama 13-0 beats UGA in SECCG
UGA 12-1) undefeated reg season)
LSU 11-1
USC 11-1

this could happen, because I'm a Bamer I have Bama winning all games but you can switch these around however fits your wants.

Big10/12 and PAC all have a 1 loss champ. Say:

OU, Mich State, and UCLA.

who should be # 3 & 4?

Are the one loss SEC teams better than the one loss others? Head to head... Heck, I'd have at least 2 from the SEC in my top 4. Heck all 4 spots could be SEC, zero chance the committee would vote that way but that's not what I think and not what I'm asking, who would you vote in your top 4 with the above records?

Chaos year one, it will be at 8 teams before long(3-5years max) where it will stop.

Alabama won the sec. They should be the only team from the conference in the playoff. If you aren't the best of 14 why should you be thought of as the best in the country?

it's a good point you make but still sits a little off with me. I enjoyed for example the rematch between LSU and Alabama as they seemed like the two best teams in the country that year. The SEC is so tough, despite what the many (jealous) critics say.

Don't have to be the best to get in, only have to be in the top 4 of the country. The 2nd best in one conference could still be on of the four best teams in the country.

Edited:

Say Wisconsin loses to LSU, that's given with my scenario, they go undefeated the rest of the way winning the Big10, should they go over LSU just because they won they're league and LSU didn't?

You gotta lot going on here but he is my outlook.

A) you can dream these crazy scenarios up all you want. But with the BCS you could just as easily say what it FSU, tOSU, Bama, Oregon, Oklahoma all go undefeated. Cluster frick. But I never happens.

B) I would rather the controversy be at 4 and 5 instead of 2 and 3.

C) if the playoffs ever extended bigger, then the higher seed would need to host the playoff game instead of too many neutral sites.

D) the ONLY way to avoid controversy would be to have a standard ranking like the NFL does that takes away all controversy on who makes the playoffs.

E) and to whoever said if you don't win your conference how can you win the natty? Well the plan of the playoffs is to get the BEST 4 teams in the country in them. What if it's obvious Bama and UGA are 2 of the best?

Yes they should as long as there isn't another conference champion with a stronger resume. They should make being a conference champion a pre-req with the current four team format. If they expand it to 8 teams maybe you can have have an at large pick. But even now a conference champ from the big 5 will be left out.

The original scenario, undefeated bama against undefeated Georgia, would serve as an unofficial playoff to enter the four team playoff. If Georgia can't beat bama in the championship game, why should they have a second chance the following week? The final two weeks last year served as a mini playoff. The winner of the iron bowl would win the west. The winner of the seccg would go on to play in the title game. Can you imagine the controversy if Mizzou won the sec and the voters placed bama in the national title game instead. (almost happened, bama was ranked ahead of Mizzou going into the sec title game)

Exactly "unofficial" playoff.

Cause again the goal of the playoff committee is to put the best 4 teams in the country in the playoffs. No matter what conference they are from.

You can't view the SEC champ game as a playoff game because technically it's not.

Now don't get me wrong. I don't think the system is perfect. I would prefer 4 16 team conferences and actually make the conference champ games the first round of the playoffs.

That to me is perfect scenario

While it's not undefeated - 2007. Unbeaten Hawaii. Georgia two losses. LSU two losses. tOSU loses to michigan with two losses. WVU losing to Pitt. Crazy season.

Also 2011 was a crazy season. Though they did get it right with LSU/Bama
