Anderson said the following in a statement:
"We obviously have team rules in place to benefit and strengthen our entire football program. It's disappointing that A.J. was unable to adhere on multiple occasions to the standards and expectations we have in place for the entire team, and that led to his dismissal. We wish A.J. only the best in his future endeavors.â?
Turner was slated to be the starting will linebacker for the Red Wolves. He transferred to A-State from Arkansas. The East Poinsett County alum was named to the 2012 SEC All-Freshman Team. Turner recorded 53 tackles, the fifth-highest total on the team, including 3.5 tackles for loss with 1 sack.

What's sad is that after the godawful experience that was 2012, I was sitting there telling myself that at least we'd have one of the better linebacker corps in the SEC in 2014 because Turner and Otha would be juniors and would have a ton of experience. Not sure whether to
