Even if he did we need multiple big men. When you only have a 7 footer and a 6 foot 9 guy that thinks he's a wingman (Granger) you're in a terrible spot.

Ideally you'll want 4 maybe 5 guys that can play the 4 and 5. Reed is a true 5. Bowers is better suited for the 4. Granger doesn't really fit in what we try to do down low. We need multiple guys to fill these holes

So can we infer that BP doesn't expect much from Reed next year?
I think it's telling that Purchase, Thompson, & maybe Granger are on the adios watch list. You need at least 4 bigs preferably 5. We have Cim, Reed, & Spencer committed. We need 1 preferably 2 more.

ETA: What Rig said on the next page.

I agree with the evaluation on him but he will be a senior and has experience. I don't see him going anywhere. He is already gone after next season opening up a spot for 2016 and I believe Pearl is trying to balance out the roster in regards to classes so it's going to take an unforeseen development for him to not be on the roster next season imo.

So Shonn Miller from Cornell is one of the most recruited grad transfers out there. Within about 24-48 hour window, he had some 30+ schools contact him

I agree 1000%. I included him as a remote possibility.

Nice. Haven't heard any word yet on AU contact. There is a big whose last name starts w/ an N that AU likes. I can't remember his name or if he is HS or GT.

Providence forward Tyler Harris will graduate at the end of the semester and transfer elsewhere, the school announced on Tuesday.

Sources tell AuburnUndercover Harris is strongly considering Auburn and the interest is mutual. Harris, who transferred to Providence from NC State in 2012, will be eligible immediately at his next destination.

Harris, a 6-foot-9 forward from Long Island, averaged 9.9 points and 4.0 rebounds this past season. Harris is the younger brother of Tobias Harris, who played for Bruce Pearl at Tennessee in 2010-11, averaging 15 points and seven rebounds per game. Tobias declared for the NBA after one season and currently plays for the Orlando Magic.

According to reports, Harris is also considering Arizona, Connecticut, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Tennessee, Boston College, Massachusetts and La Salle.

Auburn is expected to sign Top247 forward Horace Spencer on April 15. The Tigers signed four prospects during the early period, and Spencer would bring the scholarship total to 13 after the departure of Matthew Atewe.

Auburn wants to add one fifth-year transfer to the roster before next season, meaning more roster management would need to occur in the offseason.

6-11 C Mike Thorne, Jr was who I was thinking of earlier. Per Hoke MTJ said today he will choose between Kansas, Pitt, & Illinois.

With Canty being a scoring pg we could run some sets with Tyler Harris at the 3 with bowers at 4 and a new big man at 5. That would give us a huge rebounding advantage especially with a 2 guard like Dunans.

Could also run 3 guards obviously with Harris at 4

Keeping fingers crossed

I saw that Horace said he will 'definitely' sign with Auburn in a couple weeks.

Hell, say Granger stays. This would be an interesting line up:

PG: Canty
SG: Granger
SF: Harris
PF: Bowers
C: Reed

Then we have Dunans, TSD, Spencer, and others rotating in

Could be fun :lol
I just like the options we could have next season depending on who we played.

It would really be a different world after this season...even after adding Reed and getting Mason back from injury.

I'd like to see Granger come in off the bench for the majority though.

Y'all do realize that our BEST player next year will be Danjel Purifoy and he has 1-and-done potential....

Granger will never play the 2...or 3 to be honest. Can't handle the ball well enough.

I don't think either of those are a given. Before this year at Hargrave he was a great athlete who played D well. He had average shooting ability at best by all accounts. He looks to have found shooting ability this year. He will have to continue that and be a total offensive nightmare in 2015-2016 to think about 1 & done. He is the 67th ranked prospect in this class. 1 & dones typically come from top 10 recruits & rarely get down to the 67th guy. I would be surprised if Danjel is 1 & done.

Kareem Canty will give him a run for his $ in the Best player catagory. He was the best player on our roster this year by all accounts. That's saying something considering what KT did this year.

I took it as a joke for a big line up & thus did not reply. Nobody in their right mind would consider JG @ the 2 spot.

No chance. He's a great rebounder & shot blocker but does not have a great offensive game although he has high potential there.
