Wiley, Petty, and Reese are as well. All top 2017 recruits. Wiley is Vickie Orr's son and a 5* PF.

Both of WIley's parents played ball at Auburn.

Yeah, Austin's dad is fmr AU player Aubrey Wiley and his mom is Vicki Orr-Wiley, probably the greatest womens BB player in AU history, and AU had great teams in the 80s.
I see Austin all the time, legit 5*. I don't even think we need a bagman for him...

Horace Spencer's visit is an official one this weekend. FWIW JLee has HS @ 90% to sign w/ AU and HS said he has not visited other schools.

I've been hoping we could pull him in '16 which would make us loaded for the next few years

I wouldn't say a long shot. I'm not close to anyone at Madison Academy so I don't know too much about the specifics of his recruitment.

FWIW either Stephen Hooks or Skip Jansen said JL is thinking about joining a dream team Duke class and some in his family are pushing that.

For real tho. Input from all AU reporters who discussed it and AU insiders feel pretty good about HS sticking w/ AU.

I wouldn't blame him for going to Duke. It's a better school, beautiful campus, compete for championships, get some of the best coaching there is period.
What are Auburn's pros right now?
Bruce Pearl is a good coach, but no Coach K and never won a championship
Stay in state and help build a program and MAYBE compete for a championship
Be THE star and go to guy
Basically our only pull is in state, but that only goes so far when you're as far away as Huntsville and Auburn.
