Thanks for the update Rig. I'm assuming we'll use Attew for most the game on defense to protect the rim and pick up fouls then sub in Bowers when we need some offensive production.

Not sure what to take from him playing with the walk-on squad. They had pretty much every scholarship player on the blue squad and then a team of walk-ons plus Canty on the white squad.

Canty has to sit this year being an underclassman transfer. So might as well let him play scout and give the "A" squad a realistic look. Plus he gets to go against the "A" team every day so that will help him too.

Pearl said the other day at his presser that he has not decided yet who will start at the 5 between Bowers and At and that it would depend on how Bowers is doing off the court. He also said he plans to use all 10 fouls between the 2.

With that said there is logic to your post. With all the offensive fire power in out guards we may be better balanced having At in there to play D...if he can lower his 8.4 fouls per 40 minutes played ratio that is.

any news from the weekend recruits yet?
No and I don't expect them to interview the kids like they do with football. So far they just listed who was there.

2016

4* PF Chris Lweis
4* PG Lamonte Turner
4* CG Brandon Robinson
NR PF Davion Thomas

2017

5* PF Austin Wiley
5* SF John Petty
4* SG Jamal Johnson
NR SG Bradley Belt

2018

Expected to be elite rated SG Tony Johnson

How was the crowd for the scrimmage? I was looking forward to watching the scrimmage myself but my step son came to town unexpectedly so we just came for the football game.

Are you talking about the scrimmage against Tulane? I thought that was on Saturday and in Tulane?

Probably 2,500-3,000 or so there. I'd say the arena was like 1/3 full

Not bad. I've seen worse crowds than that at a few mid week SEC games.

He did. His number could be right with people going in and out. Some people go in the Arena only to use the bathroom on game days. The 500-800 24 posted was originated by Hoke.

Who's Derrick Jones? He just listed a top 5 of Kansas, Uconn, UK, UNLV, and Auburn.

Never thought I'd see that top 5
