We have a scrimmage @Tulane Nov 1st. I think it is closed to the public but we should still get a little info about the team.

Remember that question I asked you last week? 
We hired a guy this Summer from the KY/OH area. He said that KY fans, and any SEC fan who knows basketball, is concerned about Pearl being at AU!!

Swing man or wing to me is a guy who can play 2 or 3.
Game is evolving. Most teams have a 1, a couple of 2/3, and two 4's.

All big kids coming up should play guard/wing/combo/swing a bunch in youth basketball bc a big man with a handle and a jump shot is nearly unstoppable.
I am always disappointed when coaches put the tallest 11 year in the post and never develop their perimeter game. So few people grow to 6' 10" or above that most would be better served playing in 5 out system on offense and M2M defense in youth basketball.

Combo Guard is when you are pretty good at both but are a tweener and can't fit
Scoring PG and Point Forward are when you are great at both running the O and able to play additional positions/score
*** I know the point I was just making fun of how they took the idea of a combo guard (Allen Iverson) and tag it on every kid who is almost good enough at PG/SG but not elite

That's what we did at my high school. We were 3A and had a 6'6 post that played wing at UAB. We ran a motion offense so by the time we cycled through everybody played the every position. Our zone offense was a 1 in 4 out look. We had a 6'4 player that played in the paint the majority of the time while our 6'6 player ran the baseline from corner to corner. Shannon Terry(247 CEO) graduated 2 years before me and at 6'6 played the same role.

When I think combo guard I think of guys like Dwayne Wade, Monte Ellis, James Harden, etc.. Guys that aren't true PGs but aren't true SGs either. Players like Rose and Westbrook are true PGs but the have such good scoring ability to go with it.

This is true.
I do think you need a scoring option at PG and nobody can finish better in traffic around the rim that TP. To be relatively short, he makes a bunch of contested shots at the rim.
A true point guard is good on the ball, but what makes a great PG is how he makes others better off the ball. Magic was unique because of size, but he also had tremendous vision and great players around him.
