Football has been a long slow decline
Basketball will be a sharp decline with Brucy P's recruits gone
Which one hurts more? Would you take a quick knockout punch in your football decline instead of repeatedly getting your hopes up only to not even make it to a bowl game?

Well, I'm referring to basketball seeing as that was your obvious intention of a flame. Last time I checked the banners were still hanging from Bud Walton. When is the last time Auburn hanged something in their basketball stadium?

Only one player on last year's Sweet 16 roster signed with Pearl.
The players he recruited in his final 3 years were pure shite outside of McRae and Harris.
He did a very poor job of recruiting in his final 3 seasons. Sucked in to the hype with guys like Woolridge, Hall, Tatum, etc.
Pearl can win 20ish games with that, but will never return to the success he had in his first 3 years at Tennessee unless he recruits to his system like Peterson did for him.
