What are you trying to ask?

They don't compare to any of the West teams.

It is a difficult comparison; LSU and Alabama are undoubtedly more talented, and MSU more proven. I guess Ole Miss is the best comp, but still, they're not terribly alike. Their linebackers are going to be their strength, but they are having to retool a secondary that is losing 3 starters, and try to find a way to replace Clowney up front.

Auburn and South Carolina both run Ellis Johnson's 4-2-5.

This. Altho Whammy says that given their "lack of depth at DE" and "considerable talent at DT and LB", SC will be lining up in more 3-4 sets this year.

2 starters.
3 year start Brison Williams is moving to CB because we've got lots of experienced players at safety

Maybe the MSU part of that quote was over the top but LSU and Alabama are on a different level

Its not. If it were USC wouldn't have finished higher than LSU in scoring defense last year.
I'm not saying USC is better or even on the same level as Bama and LSU's defense, but the gap isn't that large and its been that way since '11.

LSU and Alabama obviously have way better defenses because they're Alabama and LSU and they say so.

No it didn't.
How is it that last year Clowney was shite and didn't do anything, but this year USC's defense is gonna take a step back because hes gone?
Question not specifically directed at you LSUNV.
