Idea to have EK Gill Statue in Kyle

Have y'all seen the idea that is going around to try and get the EK Gill statue placed just outside the tunnel the players com out of? I think it is a great idea. Especially considering the place they are moving it too now.

I'm not sure how I like it. I would prefer to keep all of our traditions the same, so as I long as it's just for decoration and no rubbing it or something I guess I'm cool with the idea

With the placing of the Gargantia-gill they are moving the original Gill statue over by Rudder fountain. I think I would prefer it in the Stadium. Seems fitting to me like he is standing ready. And imagine the focus on the origin of the tradition as the team comes out for every game.

I'm a fan of this, and I'm normally not for mixing things up, but he should stay by the field. Not get moved somewhere on campus.

I don't understand moving the statue elsewhere on campus. The rest of campus is a school. E King Gill has nothing to do with academics.

Put it on the student side, off a pedestal, just standing in the stands

Completely agree. And whoever suggested to put it in/by Rudder fountain is way off base.

I think the goal was to show the historic value of the statue.
I'm not a fan of the fountain idea either.
If you put anything where players enter it will be a focal point that gets touched.
It will lead to an epic photoshoot should a 12th man player ever score a touchdown in that endzone.

I think it just needs to go in the museum/hall of champions.
