Josey is looking like a beast in preseason for the Eagles. Latest roster predictions have him making the team.

He seems like a perfect fit for that offense.

Never count Mr. Josey out. Ever.

Even if he doesn't make the Eagles roster, he is almost assured of a spot on someone's practice squad at worst.

he's buried pretty far down on their depth chart, but, is making it pretty hard to ignore him at this point. wishing him all the best!!!

Matthew Tucker 18 86 4.8 24 4
Henry Josey 12 104 8.7 27 0
LeSean McCoy 11 43 3.9 15 0
Darren Sproles 9 44 4.9 14 1

I agree with what everyone is saying, but how in the hell can you ignore these numbers? Leading the team in rushing yards, yards per carry and the longest run. Now add in the run called back on a questionable call and I think there is little doubt he has been their best RB so far. Really kind of why I'm losing interest in the NFL. They seem to care more about measurables and trying to predict how good a player is based on those even if they don't produce on the field and in the meantime pass over guys who are flat out getting it done on the field even if they don't have the height or the size or the arm or whatever it is. Play the guy that has earned it and I don't know how one can say Josey hasn't earned it.

Agreed. IMO he was the 2013 team MVP.

Hope he makes the team.

Not Josey related but didn't want to start a whole new thread. Chase doing work. Sam and Gaines did work tonight.

The likely season-ending injury to Trumaine Johnson all but locks up a spot for Gaines and probably a ton of PT.

Moe released by Rams. Egnew who was previously released by Dolphins was picked up by Detroit.

I know Sam has some sacks, but is he doing well on special teams so he can make the final cut? Anyone know? I'm in Omaha, so I don't get the local radio vibe, damn I miss KMOX.

Burwell from the stlpd thinks Sam will make the final 53. But I wouldn't mortgage the house on it.

The radio guys are putting a press on for him. 2nd in the NFL in sacks through the preseason.

Sam said he won't be waiting by phone next couple of days. Plans to go to Columbia, Mo. for Mizzou's season opener on Saturday.

How does Josey not make the Eagles roster? He's perfect for that offense and he has proven to be durable. Sam on the other hand may just be on the wrong team right now, but there have to be at least 20 teams needing to get pressure on opposing QBs that could use him.

I think both will make it. Josey has earned it. Sam, while he's earned it is also on a team that is deep at that position and others have played equally as well. Having said that, I think Sam will get the nod over someone else on equal footing with him because of the other stuff. I think he's played well enough to make the team, I think every other draft pick has made their team so far and if he's not going to be kept on the roster, his being drafted will simply be looked at as a publicity stunt. I think if all else is close to equal, the Rams will legitimize their pick by keeping him.
