Nah. That's not the way it works.

Teams will always struggle with Gus' offense. There's simply no way to effectively cover every option on every play.

Auburn will never lose another game. Year two of Malzahn. Every other team can forget about it. It has become very quickly a one team conference.

Never seen it put any better.. Your asking 19 to 22 yr olds to stay disciplined on several options on every play, not going to happen.

Play disciplined and you can shut it down, just like every other Offense. They're going to need to pass this year to be effective, and Gus knows that.

Even in his worst year handcuffed by Chizik Auburn was still ranked 4th in rushing. Our defense can be figured out by a jv team however.

I love that people think it's so tricky and has to be "figured out."

Forget the dew. We had no answer for Jeremy Hill and CAP laid the ball on the ground. LSU beat us in Sept last year. We were not the team then we would become.

the most important thing for defenses playing against an offense like auburns is to NOT commit too early on reads and to be very discipline in terms of knowing your role for each play. its easier said than done of course but you HAVE to stay discipline when combating read options

I think they create matchup problems for bigger linebackers honestly more than anything else. LSU has done a better job containing the big plays due to having a faster D, while Bama seems to have a few more problems playing with the bigger backers.

Discipline as said is hard to come by, but LSU has done a great job recently
