#LSU DT signee Travonte Valentine has not yet been cleared by the SEC office. He's been admitted to school & cleared by NCAA.

quote:

According to Ross Dellenger with the Advocate, Valentine is set to arrive on campus this weekend to start school on Monday, but those plans could change. Valentine also hinted that he might know what is talking so long with his clearance.

quote:

“I think there’s a few people that don’t want me to play in the SEC,” Valentine said, “and I’m pretty sure who it is, but I’m not going to say.”

Valentine suggested that he was referring to another SEC school.

It's a shame when an 18 year old is more mature than professionals in the athletic departments of Florida and Alabama. :smh:

Had an offer from pretty much every SEC school. If I were betting, it's Ole Miss.

The word is its actually Mississippi St. and Billy Gonzales (recruits Florida for them and had not-so-good parting from LSU).

Not sure why people think Saban cares about our potential 3rd string DT.

ETA:

Gonzales, for those that know about him, fits this story as well.

Urban Meyer (while Gonzales was at UF) did this with Patrick Peterson and Terrance Toliver.

LOL. Blaming others for your own problems is as immature as it gets. Hopefully this will be a good lesson for the kid. Responsibility is tough to learn sometimes.

But it could be boosters of one of these schools.
Maybe the one who was arrested at the Home Depot in Covington and who previously dabbled in horticulture; or, it could be the one who worked at the Home Depot in Atlanta....

word is that it was Gonzales from Miss State

ETA: late to the party i guess. I can understand why people think it may have been Florida, as they have used this tactic in the past, but nothing points to Bama, not sure why they keep getting brought up

Billy Gonzales does make sense.

And I remember Peterson and Tolliver's recruiting. Urban is so dirty.
