He'll be seen in the same light as Kirby Smart, meaning the HC's meat puppet.

I'd out him in the same class as Kirby Smart. Under the tutelage of one of the GOAT coaches, but untested at a head coaching position. Both should gun for a HC job at an Virginia or a Arkansas-type place before being considered by a big SEC school.

Malzahn may one day earn that designation, but at the moment that is a rather silly statement.

Rhett will get his chance down the road. He is 8 years younger than Smart. He just isn't old enough for a school to turn their program over to.....yet.

Arky will probably hire him in a few years when they fire bert. Rhett can learn the ins-and-outs of being a HC and then come home to Auburn when Gus retires.

Rhett may be similar to a Kirby Smart, but he may become a HC before Kirby.
