Winning the egg bowl last season?
Don't get me wrong Ole Miss is a great team and a program on the rise that is competing for the SEC Western Crown, so beating us was a big win for a weaker SEC program like State.

Last year, OM couldn't score with a patchwork Oline of 2/3 stars and walkons. A healthy OM would have throttled that State team last year.

Other notable wins for Ag School last season were:
Alcorn St. (Should be penalized for playing them)
Troy (Ole Miss nearly put up 1,000 yards on them)
Bowling Green (By 1)
Kentucky (By 6)
Arkie (Fat Bert's closest game all season)
Rice ( )

I didn't realize how big of a win the Ole Miss game was for State. I think most of the expectations are based on false hope based on a fluke game.

Maybe a grinder can explain the hype.

Their hype is based on their schedule simple as that.

They will get throttled by LSU, Auburn, Bama, and OM.

I really don't think A&M is gonna be any good this year.
So I think they again. (Like always under Mullen) win the games they should. Lose they games they should.

I mean their OOC is what? USM, USA, Jackson St and who else? fricking pitiful.

In Mullen's SEC Network interview he said all their losses last season came against teams ranked in the top 18... So maybe they were the 19th best team in the country ?!?

So Freeze's loss to Mullen last year was worse than any Mullen has had in 5 years at MSU? Prettymuch?

You finished behind us for the fifth time in seven years in 2013. Shut the frick up. No one expects more than 8-9 wins before a bowl.

So pretty much the Tyler Russell show? USCe 2013 had bad circumstances.

Anybody want to take a shot at this?

Who was the last Ole Miss coach with a winning record vs MSU?

Hint: it was a long time and several coaches ago

Umm, no. Based on recent history, I'd say that beating OM is pretty much a given. I realize that you fantasize that you have the superior program, but 5 of 7 is actual reality. And what should be painful reality to an OM fan. After all a 3rd string true freshman QB kept us in the egg bowl and then an injured Dak came in and beat your arse with 11:00 left in the 4th quarter.

I'd submit that our expectations are based on our returners on defense and Dak finally being the man. Russell is a true Dog, but was a square peg in a round hole with Mullen's offense.

PS - you're the opposite of intelligent and the synonym of ignorant...

Anyone want to guess who leads the all time egg bowl head to head?

Hint: it's us.

Little brother syndrome. It is hard being the less relevant SEC school in the state, fewer students, alumni, fans, etc... you will come to peace with it over time.
