Listening to Chuck and Chernoff right now. Chuck said that some of the beat guys he knows have been glowing about the kid. Used the quote "He's not here to watch, he's here to take somebody's job."

I hadn't heard much about him in practice but you really have to like news like this. He probably won't start, at least not early, but if we can plug him in and not miss too much when someone needs a blow, then that can be huge.

Why? So he can leave after his redshirt sophomore season?

I don't see that as an option. He's probably a 3 year kid and you don't want to waste one of those on a rs.

No way. He's too good and not getting him on the field this season would be an absolute waste.

Any other time I'd be with ya but, I mean, the other OLBs aren't slouches

He won't start, but I bet he plays ALOT! Rotating with Floyd and Jenkins and all 3 staying fresh, WOW!

Is there any way to put this guy on double secret GSB probation?

Okay. We won't redshirt him because we can use him on ST and mop up duty. Fair enough. He's a badass that will see plenty of time next year and will leave after his Jr year

That's pretty much been the mantra all fall camp. he's really impressed Eckler & Pruitt from all accounts & has busted his arse in the weight room & voluntary workouts over the summer. He'll play a lot & make an impact this year. No redshirt for this kid...

We'll use him much more than that. He'll get snaps in big situations if the matchup is there.

Why can't we put one of the three (Jenkins, Floyd, Lo) at DE so they can all be on the field?

What is your projected 2 deep at OLB? Just curious...

You don't think Lo can beat out any one of these 4 pretty quickly?...

17 Davin Bellamy | 6-5, 240, RS FR
50 Johnny O'Neal | 6-2, 240, SO

8 Shaun McGee | 6-3, 235, RS FR
43 Tommy Long | 6-2, 228, RS SO

This will happen, and it will happen often. Don't forget Kenyon Brown also.

He will not beat out Bellamy, who has been highly touted during camp, or O'Neal. He will play in front of Tommy Long...again...mop up duty. He will not come in with no experience and see meaningful playing time...again, IMHO, but that wont be the case....

He will be a DGD and will probably only see 4 total years at UGA, thus no RS

My thoughts exactly...that is why LC is at an even bigger disadvantage for seeing meaningful playing time this year....

Don't see this...without injury. Too many 4 man fronts that Pruitt is likely to run before LC sees time as an OLB in the 3-4....heck, we will see more 5 man backfields too that will hurt his chances as well.

Not taking away from his talent or potential, but he needs to learn and understand these offenses before he steps on the field.
