I thought Charpentier might be the starting center but have seen recently that is not the case. Was he injured or just beat out by another player?

I did look at the board and saw proposed OL starters but saw no reasons given for Luke being out of starting line. Maybe I missed another post in the Hog forum?

True freshman might be legit as delivered, we will find out though, he will play at some point.

He battled with Smothers for it in the spring and came in second. We recruited a guy specifically to be a center and he is pushing Smothers for the starting spot. Charp is at left guard but is being pushed hard by the UNLV transfer.

I personally would rather have Charp over Smothers. I think the freshman plays the majority of the year
