Because they had Roberts on Duke IMO. Iron sharpens iron, and I like the idea of a "Dirty Mike", but Roberts looked pretty good against him.

Jones and Holsey are your starters IMO.
JGT projects him to be the 4th or 5th CB on the depth chart. If so that would mean he gets quality PT & doesn't look good for the schollied CBs behind him.

Also SR got his arse tore up verbally by Boom & T-Rob after Burton's TD. They weren't happy w/ him at all.

...for now. You've still got Carlton Davis, Javarius Davis, and Jeremiah Dinson coming in. Carlton Davis will almost surely be in the playing rotation.

SR also busted his assignment on ROCS long TD run. You could hear boom on the telecast say "Roberts" into the headset after the play explaining to the guys upstairs what happened. Basically ROC ran off the guard and then bounced it outside. SR immediately crashed inside instead of setting the edge allowing ROC to get outside. Boom was pissed.

I think he was accounting for 2 of them. Dirty Mike was ahead of SR remember.

He moved it up because spots for his position will, fill up,fast. He loves Auburn and feels at home. Wants to play for Muschamp and will be picking AU.

He comes from a humble family of little means. He is the older brother to 8 other siblings and is.on a mission to provide for all of them. In the 8th grade he saved his mother from a carjacking while bottle feeding his little brother.

He once cut 14 chords of wood to make 50.00 to feed the family. He is a great kid with huge upside. Will bring a work ethic that will serve him well. You should go read his story and be blown away like I was. Happy for this kid getting his chance.

E, I love you buddy. But based on who was dressed for A-Day, Roberts was on Duke. (IMO because he has had a good Spring) He did well AGAINST DUKE, like I said. Knocked down a throw, or two and maybe could have had a pick on one.

Nowhere in my post did I say he was a starter. (Jones/Holsey)

What he did on one run play was not in question, nor whether he got chewed out after the MB TD.

IDC where JGT thinks anyone will play. The next time I do, will be the first.

Still love ya, but your need to be right has you correcting stuff that wasn't in question. Come Fall, if Sherwood is playing, we are in trouble.

I think he gets bored out in New Texizona, or wherever he "stays" now.

4* WR & top 60 overall prospect for 2017 Nico Collins named AU his leader over Bama after his AU A Day visit.

he's by far the best prospect on that team, includes Pigrome. THIS is the guy from Clay that I've been hoping we get.

Duke was also a bit dinged up Saturday & could have easily been held out per JGT. W/ that knowledge in mind it's hard to assess how well SR actually did against him.

I was not talking at you in my post. It was a general post for the board. We all know Holsey & Jones are the starters next season.

I mean this in all sincerity. I apologize that I have a problem making informative posts for general discussion purposes that don't come off as being snooty corrective. My intent was strictly informative based for a general discussion for the board as a whole. That's all buddy. I promise. As for me on Dirty Mike & SR I find it very interesting that Dirty Mike started over SR Saturday. If you don't find that interesting then that's fine & we can agree to disagree on that point.

Agree & that's why I thought it was worth a discussion.

That need to correct is not a factor here at all. You are severely misreading & misinterpretting my posts here.

You do realize that you are... correcting him again?

I tend to disagree. There are RARE scenarios where a walk on just ends up being a very undervalued athlete and just ends up blossoming in college. Not saying this kid is that 1 of 1,000 that is a walk on sensation at Auburn, but it certainly can happen. Somedamnhow the name escapes me but one of our best WRs in the Tubbs days was a walk on (Rod Smith maybe?)

Yeah, it was Rod Smith, #80.
