New OC Kurt Roper has been Cutcliff's assistant/pawn for most of his coaching career. That's not to say he can't be successful on his own, but there's certainly no evidence to suggest he can run the (shite)show he has been given.

Installing that kind of offense (hunh)from scratch takes more than 30 practices to make it effective. I just read in an Orlando Sent article that's the total number of practices he'll have with the offense between arriving on campus and game 1. Actually, article says less than 30.

LINK

QB Driskel hasn't impressed anyone because he was either injured or because the offensive system sucked. Excuses excuses. Sure, maybe this new offense and a healthy year for him could mean he'll be a great quarterback! But there is zero evidence to show he'll be anything but mediocre. It's all we've had an opportunity to see.

Florida has recruited well, they are loaded with talent, and the defense doesn't seem to have any question marks at all. That's their only bright spot.

Problem is your offense still has to score points. We all hear constantly that "defense wins championships"..... but I say offense gets you to the championship. Remember 11-1 UF in 2012? Great defense..... shitty offense.... great record, great defense might have won them the championship but shitty offense, unable to score on another great defense, 2012 UGA in this case, kept them out of the SECCG.

So you Gata fans can pound your chest and chant D-Fence all day long, stroke yourselves talking about the intensity that Muschamp brings to the program. Bask in the glory that is remarkable recruiting year after year.

But please shut the frick up about Kurt Roper and Jeff Driskel.

I disagree completely. I think this statement says exactly what needs to be said. Florida will be fine if they stay healthy.

SO much fricking fail.

UF only scored 26 points per game in 2012 and won 11 game against one of the toughest schedules in the country.

Muschamp is 19-1 when his team scores more than 20 ppg.

Last season was so many things going wrong at once. The team only averaged 18.8 PPG.

The team, WILL average closer to the 2012 26 PPG and they will win a lot of games because of that.

Regarding the Cutcliffe pawn bullshite, Cutcliffe himself said that roper has been the one calling plays the ENTIRE time they've been at Duke.

But thank you for adding some of your ignorance to this topic which has been beaten to death by other equally stupid and uninformed people.

UF's gonna beat UGA or FSU not sure which one but I think they win at least one of those games. It also would not surprise me if UF was in contention for the East by the end of October.

It also wouldn't surprise me if UF tanked out either...

Also, Just FYI - the new summer contact rules allowed Florida to do a TON of work on the offense in the summer, so they are in pretty good shape on that side of the ball.

I will never post here again if they score lass than 18.8 ppg next year. They will certainly be better than that (Barring catastrophic 2013 like injuries).

This seems like a response thread to...something.

I want to agree, but watching that Duke/atm game the other day their offense sure looked good. Also UGA fans should be scared to death of any cutcliffe protégé, considering he's had our number in a huge way. However, Pruitt hopefully will fare better than Martinez/grantham.

Don't we keep hearing how Pruitt is going to make your defense not suck? How is this different, I mean other than Florida having more talent on offense than you guys have on defense.

Well, Pruitt just won a national title at a high major school in only his first year there. I'd say our expectations for improvement are reasonable.

Right, yeah the defense carried that team, just like the Offense has carried Bama during the Saban years-- Michigan's about to take off with Dougie Fresh coaching em' up.

And? Does UGA have those same type of players he was coaching at fsu? Even though its not exactly hard to look like world beaters against the Wake Forest and Maryland's of the world. I'm honesty still not sold on him.

Pruitt won with the previous DC's system.

Pruitt is pretty good, but I thought the same thing about Grantham.

And?

Not sure what you're struggling to comprehend here. One of your gator fans asked me a specific question and I answered it.

We absolutely have better LBs. DL not quite as good, secondary definitely not as good. I never said we're going to be as good as they were last year, my point is that we can expect improvement over OUR team from last year. Ya know, the worst statistical defense in UGA history. Seems like that would be pretty easy to do for someone with Pruitt's resume.

Pruitt runs multiple. If you want to say he did well with FSU's talent, then OK, but don't act like it wasn't his defense. #1 defenses aren't accidents.

FSU had the #6 scoring defense the year before.
