Didnt we announce that we are going shrink the lower bowl visitors section & move those allotted seats to the upper deck? I'm watching Kicksix on the SECN & can't help but notice how fricking big the opposing fan section is. I've felt for a long time we give too much to opposing fans. I know the opposing fan section at Sanford Stadium is microscopic & the bullshite 3rd deck is so far up it doesn't matter how many show up.

Thats become more and more common. At BDE I think the visitors are largely in upper and in the end zone? UGA has increasingly moved visitors upstairs, but two years ago they moved the band to the endzone at UGA, only to move them back to the student section last year.

Sec rules require a certain number in the lower bowl (1,500 I believe ). Wish the SEC would mandate the other 4,500 had to be together (upper deck is fine) instead of spreading them out throughout the upper deck.

SEC rules prevent this

A&M made a fuss about it when they moved

Then we should only have 1500 in lower. With their band in the uppers

Bama and auburn each give each other more tickets than the average SEC road game.

For those old enough to remember, it used to be worse... bama fans basically had the entire north end zone... To the point where it was almost like a away game for our offense heading into the NEZ.

I believe this all stems from us leaving legion field... but I'm not sure.

Pretty sure SEC rules prevent visiting band sitting upper deck as well. I can't think of a single stadium in the conference where the band goes to the upper deck

Auburn has a ticket deal with Alabama and Georgia both. More tickets are allotted to the visiting team in those rivalries than with anyone else

This is so stupid if true. There is no way we get near the amount of tickets at BDS as they get at JHS. I'm probably wrong, but thats just how I feel.

I remember. It used to infuriate me when I would see the entire lower NE endzone all red/white. We used to put our own fans in the upper decks and the entire half of the endzone and wrapping all the way around to the 30 yardline on the AU student side would be vistor seating for the bama game.

Gators used to stick our band in the upper deck at the swamp. May not be true anymore, but I was at the swamp several times in the late 90's, early 2000 and they put our band up there and split up the rest of us in the lower section in the first few rows at field level where it was hard to see anything.

Yeah that doesn't happen anymore. Last couple of trips to BHG the band has sat in the lower corner

If I remember correctly, a standard SEC visiting team gets 7500 seats in JHS. Bama and Georgia get 10,000 each (or did when we played them in alternating years, I guess that still applies).

And yes I remember both UGA and Bama games where if there was in interception or something down at the north end of the field, their crowd would make a ton of noise.

Lower bowl was almost a ghost town a couple of years ago vs. ULM.
