Auburn #6 in initial AP poll

Below Oklahoma, Oregon, and Ohio State. 
To me right now it's:
1. FSU
2. Auburn
3. Bama
4. The rest

Bama, Oregon, and Oklahoma all being ranked above Auburn is pretty laughable.

I would be happy with a top 10 finish. Robinson, Kozan, and Mason are some huge shoes to fill on offense.

and Ohio State...we played the same amount of preseason top 25 teams as Bama, OU and OSU combined

AP being politically correct.
top 5 conferences represented...then SEC again.

Though there is no real guidelines for how to vote, I have always believed most vote attempting to predict the final outcome. In that light knowing Auburn's schedule it isn't hard to see us starting at 6.

Highest preseason ranking since 2006. We really have been inconsistent.

I'm fine with being 6, I just don't get Bama at 2 again!? I guess that's why they play the games.

I am too. right now we are really inconsistent year to year and having a returning quarterback for the first time should help with that. The reason Bama is ranked second is because Saban has assembled a machine that has lost like 6 games in a few years, tough not to put them there. FSU is the returning champ, they should be number 1 until they lose.
I have always been of the belief that a team should start a season where they ended the previous season.

I'm good with the ranking. It won't matter in the end, and hopefully, the players feel disrespected. If we get through the season with 1-2 losses, we'll make the playoff.

2 loss team isn't getting in. Gotta have 1 loss or less and win the SEC.

Hopefully you have to win your conference no matter what to be in the playoff.
