The games ESPN is showing are modern. Who owns the broadcast rights to the old games? Seeing Billy Cannon or Archie Manning now and again would be pretty cool. Old basketball games might be cool as well.

It's a great question. I'm sure ESPN has to have access to all ABC televised games from the past. There were lots of Alabama games televised in the 1970's when only one or two games were shown in a week. ESPN showed the 1973 Sugar Bowl immediately preceding the Alabama-Notre Dame BCS Championship Game. Hearing Chris Schenkel definitely brought back memories. I remember an old LSU-Ole Miss game from the late 1970's that had the loudest "Geaux to hell, Ole Miss" chant I've ever heard on television. I think Schenkel did that one as well.

Heck I would love to see the old Bama games from the 1920's and would not be opposed if ESPN did specials on the 3 former members. I would love to see an SEC Storied about the Iron Men of Sewanee. The SEC may be at the top now, but it was built on the shoulders of great men and great teams before most on here were a twinkle in their parents eyes.

After the first few days it's been about 10 Alabama replayed games a day and few others.
