Did you use one of those 3D printers for the missing parts?

Not bad at all, but I still can't see it doing the Kessel Run in anything less than 11 parsecs.

How could a hip guy with such exquisite taste in website browsing (Ebaumsworld anyone?) also be a Star Wars nerd?

Sweet. We buy stuff for our grandkids all the time off Ebay from the 80's. The toys our son loved, are still cool with the 4 and 6 year old.

I'll give you 14 dollars cash money right now for it.

3D printers can only create stuff for which a CAD drawing has been sent to it. Think of it as a 3D fax machine. You send the message design to the 3D printer and it creates the part. If the OP has the plans for the individual parts, then that would be one great way to make the pieces.

That is a nice restoration. I bought my son the newest one from Toys R Us last Christmas. Definitely the most detailed model that has ever been made. Should be at $250!
