Sweet. We buy stuff for our grandkids all the time off Ebay from the 80's. The toys our son loved, are still cool with the 4 and 6 year old.

3D printers can only create stuff for which a CAD drawing has been sent to it. Think of it as a 3D fax machine. You send the message design to the 3D printer and it creates the part. If the OP has the plans for the individual parts, then that would be one great way to make the pieces.

That is a nice restoration. I bought my son the newest one from Toys R Us last Christmas. Definitely the most detailed model that has ever been made. Should be at $250!
