I would go with Sumlin but it's close.

I left Kiffin out of the equation to make it easier for people to decide.

I want to see what Sumlin does post JFF.

I'd say Gus is better at this point. He obviously wasn't just living off Cam Newton.

We'll see what Sumlin is all about this year.

Sumlin's Offenses the last 3 years have been ranked nationally in Total Yards, #1, #2, and #9. So I don't think he's a one shot wonder. They will be good this year.

Sumlin has had good offenses pre-Manziel at OU, and Houston. Manzeil was a great college QB. I've got no reason to believe Sumlin still won't have a good offense even though it may not be as spectacular without JFF.

Malzahn made a believe out of me last year. In 2010 I though Cam made an already good offense great. He was a once in a generation type of player. But what he did with a DB at quarterback last season was incredible. No one could really stop it, you just hoped to slow it down. (And before any of my LSU brethren chime in, I was at the LSU/AU game. LSU took advantage of some bad plays early and their offense played well, but in the 2nd half LSU could not stop AU at all. It was a matter of just hanging on with big, but decreasing lead)

IMO: Malzahn is the best offensive coach in the SEC

Three years ago and people were wondering how Sumlin would do post Keenum.

Did pretty well with the next guy.

I think Sumlin is given less credit than he deserves but i'm biased. No one takes into account Auburn had been recruiting at an SEC level, and A&M had not. Also This past year was only two years removed from a Natty, so despite chizik's abortion of a season, he left good pieces for gus.

Either way I think it's obvious they're 1a and 1b in the conference on O....Maybe in the country, now.

I think its gotta be Sumlin. Seems like he uses every situation possible to exploit defenses. He can go from no huddle, to a nice rhythmic pace that slowly breaks down and frustrates a defense.

Manziel was a 3-star QB that wasn't highly recruited as a QB. Either analysts were way off on him, or Sumlin did a great job with him.
