Gumby's Pizza in Athens had 25 cent domestic drafts for happy hour every day in the 1990's. right across baxter from the 3 biggest dorms. No fake id required.
Large cheese pizza 5.99
50 cent pool tables.
Free parking.
Always a shady guy in the corner that had what you needed. No cell phones, he'd just take a walk, come back in 30.

Man I wish Mellow still sold those shirts in Cumming

Good God, I miss Gumby's. There are times when I am drunk and I would literally murder someone for an order of pokey sticks and pepperoni pizza from Gumby's.

My dad used to take us to the one on the corner of Johnson ferry and Roswell road in the late eighties. It was seedy as frick back then with a Pac Man machine in corner and some drugged out hippies. The biggest rat I've ever seen was just outside the door of that mellow mushroom. Those were good times.

My little brother "worked" there.... The one at five points. He gone too.
I remember that corner used to be might-as-well-be amsterdam. Before Five points was yuppified.
