Danny Kannell is in Tuscaloosa...

I loved how he tried to dress like a trendy college student on his recently failed espn show. He was way to old for that.

I forget, what exactly did Kannell do that had so many Bama fans upset?

He came on his night show one time after he lost a bet (which was he had to wear Bama gear....he obviously was so biased against Alabama on his night show) and he indeed stayed true to his word.


But he came out and dressed in a jersey with no shoes or socks and looked somewhat like a hillbilly. He said for some reason Alabama fans never wear shoes or something along those lines which is kind of ironic considering the incident that went on at Florida State that Spurrier is so famous for making fun of.

I'm not a Bama fan, and I can't stand Kannell. ACC/FSU homer/apologist at all times. I understand certain biases, and the difficulty that comes with trying to remove them from your lexicon and thought process. But Kannell has never really tried.

As insufferable as he is when discussing college football, he's even worse with college baseball. The SEC has been head-and-shoulders superior in baseball (even moreso than in football), and yet he would go out of his way to laud the ACC as a viable baseball conference especially in relationship to the SEC. He's got little brother syndrome something fierce. IIRC, he even tried to argue that Clemson was a better baseball program than USC not too long ago, despite the fact that USC was dominating the series in recent years and had some hardware.

The irony is having Rece Davis, a Bama grad, in Tuscaloosa with Danny Kannell, a noted Bama hater...
