LINK

This is a blow and out of nowhere. I guess it's not too shocking since Brooks Ellis has had #1 mike on lockdown but sucks for depth at a thin position.

Yeah, regardless of whether Otha was getting passed on the depth chart, linebacker is one spot at which we did not need attrition.

Coach B has been raving for weeks about the freshmen and Josh Williams. Haven't really heard him speak much of Peters.

He kind of fell in our lap anyway. I don't like it at all, and had high hopes he would have made a bigger impact.

Damn (kicks can)

Is it not an odd time to transfer?

Yes and no. Odd because it is three weeks before the season but not odd because it will allow him to transfer somewhere in this semester. Mekale McKay transferred during fall ball as well last year.

Ok, thx. He'll have to wait a year to play somewhere tho right? (Granted he'd have pretty much no practice with the team so I'm sure he wouldn't anyway)

If he goes FCS he won't have to sit out a year.

I imagine he'll transfer to a BCS school and apply for a hardship waiver. The NCAA hands those out to anyone these days.

He'll probably end up at La Monroe or Tech

I take this as we're going to suck on defense again.

So a LB that started 2 years ago as a Freshman can't break the 2 deep roster now? Nope, No improvment there.......

Understandable though. Juniors that have started games usually don't take too well to being placed 2nd or 3rd string.

He either doesn't have the talent/knowledge or he's too set in his old ways to start a new system. Sometimes its easier to train newborns than oldheads.
