I think the new rules this summer allowing mandatory coached film watching and practices is going to be huge for our defense hitting the ground running with all new staff.

Makes you wonder if Granthams crew had that luxury with the secondary last year with all the new players, if it would have made a difference.

Gh9, gfy in advance btw

Ekeler seems like the type of coach that everyone wishes/loves to play for. Just seems so energetic and enthusastic about every aspect of the team he is coaching..I think he will do wonders for our special teams.

Would a few extra hours in the summer have made a difference all the way into our October and November games?

Cute.

I wonder if a few extra hours of film would have helped our defense improve from September to January. One has to wonder....

Well, there were also a lot of nagging injuries, dumbass decisions that means guys weren't playing every week as well. It shoudl also be noted that guys like Leonard Floyd made plenty of first year mistakes, and I think he will be much better out in pass pro/edge awareness this year regardless of the defensive staff.

I think the secondary was more of a problem with Lakatos just not doing his job as much as Grantham's playbook.

Maybe some film on how and when to swat the ball down, how not to trip and fall flat on your arse in coverage, etc.

I think it was more of a problem going against some pretty badass qb/rec combos last year with 3 first year starters in secondary.

Further proof everyone won't be ready for what UGA brings this year.
