Am I reading these Bama stats correctly?

Teams: West Virginia (Atlanta), FAU, Southern Miss, Western Carolina

Opponents winning percentage: .271 (13-35)

thanks for any feedback

It's really quite astonishing. And kind of sad to watch. They just want attention from Alabama so bad.

At least they play a somewhat decent West Virginia team. A&M's ooc schedule is dog shite.

We probably should be talking schedules with the new playoff system. Like CFN said, scheduling does matter now.

Bama's OOC this year leaves no room for error in it. There is no marquee matchup. Only in league is there one. WVU is BCS, but not a very good team.

But the same goes for all the teams. LSU is going to have to do better. No more Towsons(hopefully) and more big name programs. Would love it if LSU played a Big 10 and an ACC or Pac 12 every year. Two big names.

The playoffs allow for a hiccup in conference, but only in OOC if the opponents are worthy.

I wonder if the playoff committee will put as much effort into analyzing the schedules and winning percentages of the opponents when choosing who makes it to the playoff?

That's what the article was about. If Bama runs through the SEC, but loses to, say, Southern Miss, they could get left out for a STanford that ran through a tougher OOC but lost to Oregon.

Numbers and computers are no longer the determining factor, it's the eyeball test that takes front stage now.

I'm more interesting in if the committee will put so much energy in looking at the records of OOC opponents from last year, like the Rant does.

I'm sure 2013's results will play a huge factor in who ends up in the 2014 playoffs.

I mean 2 a year. Drop a ULM for another BCS conference game. Like in 2011. That was a fun year.
