Taking my son to Cincinnati in a couple of weeks to see the Braves play the Reds. Anyone have any recommendations on good places to eat near Great American, hotels, other stuff to do on a Saturday, etc? Thanks!

I can't say personally it is good (have never tried it) but the signature Cincy food/restaurant is Skyline Chili (spaghetti noodles topped with chili and shredded chaddar cheese; can also add onions and/or beans). I have heard it is good. There is a Skyline at 4th & Sycamore (according to their website) which doesn't look too far from the ballpark.

Embassy Suites right across the river.

How old is he? I've never been but heard there's a cool bar area not too far from the stadium on a big hilltop.

Skyline is gross. Avoid it.

Gold Star is better but Skyline isn't gross.

Ive never had gold star, but its probably gross. Cincinnati chili in general is gross.

I figured that you'd say that.
I love Cincinnati chili. Made a big pot of it last week. Different people like different things.

Cross the river and hit up the Hofbrau.
There are a lot of restaurants and bars around the stadium. In Between Tavern is decent. Haven't been in forever and can't remember much though.

Different strokes for different folks.

Well, I can't get it here in Atlanta except for in cans so I make it myself and shred my own cheddar. No radiated cheese. Just nice extra sharp cheddar.

I like Cinci chili just because I know its very existence drives Texans into apoplexy.

Im not sure its the case anymore, but Covington used to have the most hookers per capita of any city in the country.

It might. The Hofbrau is in Newport though.

Ya, I meant Newport not Covington. I always loved driving by the Florence, Y'all water tower too.

Yeah, that's when you know you're back in Kentucky. It always made me sad coming back from Cedar Point or Kings Island or something.

Stop by UC and say hi to Coach Tubs. He always loved Bama.
