Used to have my license but let them expire a few decades ago. Thinking about getting into it again.

What's your suggestions?

I let mine expire last year. I had it as a kid for amateur storm spotting, but I haven't touched my radio in probably 10 years.

I have always wanted to get into that for a hobby. Hopefully, there will be more than a few responses so I can get an idea of what I could be getting into.

When I was a kid, my best friend's father was into it. It was pretty fascinating. I hope there are some good responses. It's something I'm interested in.

It was a popular nerd hobby at one time, but I wonder how many people are still active in the high speed Internet age.
