I'm in the market for a new tv. Not spending 3500 though.

Just bought a Vizio 42 inch as my 2 year old Sharp crapped out. Thanks Sharp. The Visio is great, $500 smokes. While I was at BB, I took in the Ultra 4K TVs. It was incredible picture, and I just stood there looking at landscape pictures, truly amazing.
That being said, best let the market work on this one, as with the "now old" HD, you have to have the 4K feed which is rare, and the price will drop significantly over time.

Retooc, if I watch the commercial for the curved TV on my flat TV will it take? I don't think it works that way.

I thought baout it....but just couldn't pull the trigger. The picture is great, but from what I understand, you need to get at least a 55" TV to take full advantage of the curve technology. (Something about the sight line being too narrow on a smaller tv. I already have a 60" Plasma, and just couldn't pay that much for another big tv. But....I THINK you can get hem for a lot less than $80000....but could be mistaken. I love the Samsung Smart Tvs, though and highly reccommend them.

I have a 120" projector in my theater room. I could just curve my screen

I'd be willing to bet on it.

Sounds a bit like those special beer glasses dallas' hipster friend uses. Plus, you can't hang a curve tv on the wall. Well, I guess you can, but it would look ridiculous.
