I just realized in September it will be 50 years that I have been a Georgia Bulldog.
I plan on being one for another 50 years.
I plan on being one for another 50 years.

With advances in modern science and my high level income, it's not crazy to think I can live to be 245, maybe 300. Heck, I just read in the newspaper that they put a pig heart in some guy from Russia. Do you know what that means?

Yes. That means I can be a Gata Hata for a very very long time.

Same for me. August 27, 1964, I got off a Trailways bus in Athens and walked to the athletic department lugging 2 suitcases of clothes. Someone at the office gave me a meal card and directions to my dorm. One of the greatest days of my life.

I'll never forget getting off the plane at the local airport not knowing where I was or how to get to the campus but I met another student at the airport and was able to hitch a ride to Athens on the back seat of his motor scooter.
Along the way he gave me the sound advise not to wear socks with my shoes.
Since I had never visited the campus before I got there or even saw pictures of it, he was nice enough to drop me off at my dorm Reed Hall.
After I was shown my room I was immediately approached by my dorm mates and told in no uncertain terms that it was a tradition for the new guy to be thrown in the showers with his clothes on.
I ended that "tradition".
When I found out that Sanford Stadium was right next to Reed Hall and I could go to all the home games for free I was in dawg heaven.
I'll never forget the football game where UGA came back from behind to beat Bama 18-17.
After the game, I watched Bear Bryant lean against a goalpost for several minutes with his head held down in his hands in agony.
It definitely was one of the proudest moments in this ole dawg's life.
