Rethinking our schedule

Idaho
E. Michigan
Kentucky
@ Alabama
BYE
@ Tennessee
LSU
Missouri
BYE
vs. UGA
@ Vanderbilt
South Carolina
E. Kentucky
@ Florida State
Aside from @ Alabama, and @ Florida State... Our other 4 toughest games are in Florida...
9-3, 10-2 shouldn't be out of the question. I think people using our schedule as an excuse why UF won't do well aren't looking at it closely enough.

I think that was more of a response to how Muschamp keeps his job -- not exactly what should be feasible.
The two hardest games are away (or at least hardest in my opinion), but those other schools aren't anything to frick with.
8 wins sounds about right, 9 or 10 if we're lucky and play solidly.
Not out of the question, but until we see some tangible evidence less probable.

The home schedule is definitely favorable.

Piece of cake.
1) Bama is not going to be that powerful...a very good team but not like 2009 or 2011 great. Watch last years AU, A&M and OU games and you will see Bamas defense give up tons of yds and points, very un Bama like...senior qb helped them and now they have new starter
2) LSU see above and its in the Swamp...I will guarantee a win.
3) Mizzou and USC come to the Swamp and lose.
4) girls school, we put jameis on his backside all game long and he becomes colorblind.
Result is 12-0 or 11-1. Crown me.

UF should, reasonably, beat:
Idaho
EMU
EKU
UK
Vandy
UT
If UF loses any of those games, the rest of the schedule starts to look impossible. UT and Vandy could potentially challenge, but both teams lost a lot and don't have much yet to replace it with.
There are three tough home games
LSU
Missouri
South Carolina
These teams are by no means pushovers, but UF is at home, and should have a good chance to beat all of them. In order for UF to have a good season, UF needs to beat at least 2 of these.
Georiga
Florida probably needs to win this game if they have any chance of winning the east. They seem to have Muschamp's number.
@ FSU
@ Alabama
The only two games on the schedule that look like definite losses right now. But I agree with what some have said, neither are invincible, but I certainly wouldn't bet on Florida.
10-2 would be, IMO, the REALISTIC BEST CASE scenario for 2014, which would be good enough for SEC east champs.
I assume that, with an average amount of luck (some bounces going for, some against) that UF will win 8-9 games. 9 wins, depending on the losses, would still mean a shot at Atlanta.
8 wins would be disappointing, because it would probably mean at least 2 home losses, or 1 home loss and a loss to UGA, or being upset by one of the teams UF should beat or something like that.
Anything less than 8 wins would be unacceptable to me. The schedule isn't THAT bad. Only 3 games all year outside the state of Florida.
My pre-fall camp guess, right now, is 9-3.

That's definitely somewhere we disagree.
LSU, Alabama, FSU, South Carolina, Georgia, Missouri in one schedule is goddamn hard.
We may have the hardest schedule in the country.

This is exactly why I'd give Muschamp a chance with 7 wins and a bowl win at the end of the year.
Most teams play two hard teams all year -- they definitely don't juggle 3 NCG winners (all have players with NCG rings on them, LSU, Alabama and now FSU) in the same year and have a mediocre or even just "difficult" schedule.
I'm not sure there's been a team with a harder schedule than that in contemporary times, honestly.

Urban would have about 5 heart attacks leading up to kickoff.

Immediately after we beat tOSU in championship game Urban Cowboy issues an edict that he needs more time with his family..the Pope would pray for him in the Vatican....meanwhile his agent would be on the phone with top tier northern schools to see if they are considering letting their current coaches go. Shelly would see attorney

God knows y'all lived in the collective Georgia psyche in the 90's and 00's. Has the pendulum officially swung the other way or will it take another loss this year before that annual doubt starts to creep in?

The only doubt i have about this team is in regards to its head coach.
And I say that because I don't know which is more representative of his abilities, 2012 or 2013.

2011 - First year 7-6
2012 - 11-2, relatively healthy, bad offense, great defense
2013 - 4-8, gazillion injuries, terrible offense, okay defense.
Honestly IDK what his norm actually is. The likelihood of a team going through that many injuries is virtually impossible.

9 wins is a given based off what I've seen. 10-2 is best case scenario.
