Our clown of an AD scheduled another home & home with them. We will have played them:

2007
2010
2011
2012
2016
2017

Help.

You can only help yourself, and destroy them when you play. You must beat them showing no mercy; destroying their souls.

Just understand you will be there superbowl every time you play them because you are SEC.

They only have like 2 maybe 3 tough games a year so you can guarantee they will be planning for your game while they are walking through wake forest, duke, boston college week.

You need to send a letter of copy/trademark infringement to them to get them to stop using all the things/traditions/etc... that they stole from y'all and have been claiming as their own for decades.

I remember when y'all started doing that "All In" campaign for recruiting, within 6 months, the taters were doing it too.

I mean, really, is there any other school in the country that wishes they were another school more than clemson wishes they were Auburn? I'm being serious.

That's the old saying, "Clemson - It's Auburn with a lake."

To answer your question, no, I don't think so. There's very, very little original about anything at Clemson.

Maybe your AD and Tanner should get together and schedule our games OOC. Clemson has played you guys more than we have since joining the SEC.

Clemson is the biggest kind of pretender; nothing is original about them. They copied both Auburn and LSU in their nicknames/origins/stadium name and they desperately want to be considered an SEC school. I'm sorry for your AD's poor judgment by including them on your schedule.

What's your record against them from 2007-2012?

The only way to shut them up is to kick their asses .... ohhhh, errrr, wait. No, come to think of it that really doesn't work either.

Clemson fans always remind me of the black knight in Monty Python's holy grail. You chop off everything, they just keep talking shite.

Until 2011 we had a winning streak that dated back to the Eisenhower Administration. Then our program got Chizzed on and now they're sitting on a two game win streak.

There's no fan base in the southeast (outside Alabama & UGA) that I hate more than Clemson. Those pricks are insufferable in every way whether they are up 3 TDs or down 2.

Jay Jacobs deserves reprimand for being a lazy arse AD and trying to create a rivalry where there shouldn't be.

Y'all would have been better off resuming the traditional rivalry that you once had with GT. I remember some of those games that were played back when Gailey was still coach of the Jackets, and they were very competitive.

Sadly, I think GT barely has an athletic department anymore. They've de-emphasized sports so severely that within 15 years they may drop off the map altogether. It's a shame, too, because I grew up in Georgia, and I miss the days of a decent Tech team.

Lewis would not like his brilliance referred to as "the old saying."

I forgot that was Grizzard.

A true original, who is sorely missed.

Tech is a shell of it's former self now you're right about that. Definitely the reason why AU has ducked away from rescheduling them lately.

We just recently cancelled a home and home with Ga Tech did we not?

I was kind of looking forward to that.

I remember the old Pepper Rogers days well. We used to have some great games with Ga Tech back in those days. It was a fun road trip too. Not too far away. Underground Atlanta was the bomb in those days.

I remember laying that egg against GT in '88 I believe...we were 6-0, getting some national recognition following a (back then) successful season and then we lost something like 34-0.

'88 sounds about right. What I remember about that game was that was the first time we took a portable TV to the game for tailgaiting.

Was that Todd Ellis' senior season? I can't remember if it was '87 or '88. But for some reason I'm remember a pre-game interview on the TV with Ellis and he was very presentable, very confident ... and then we went out there and got waxed.

Ga Tech surprised a few people that year, with close games but they had a losing record ... but that young team would later go-on to win a MNC, or a tie for it with Washington I think it was, in 1990. They beat us in '88 and '90 if I remember correctly.

That was one of those series where the home team almost always won. Matter of fact I don't think we've ever lost to Ga Tech at home and our series probably dates back to 1900 or so but we used to always have to go down there to play them my Grandfather told me. I'm pretty sure I attended the first game at our place in '70 or '71.

I think it was Todd's senior year...and IMO one of the most underrated QBs in Carolina history followed the next couple of seasons, Bobby Fuller.
