I wish the VHS expansion looked like this instead. Someone text Bjork about it.

Put 4 jumbo trons in the 4 empty corners.

I wish we could stick to the original plans to make it look like this.

Money is certainly apart of the decisions made, but if we could fill an a 70K stadium regularly then we would build it. Do yall not believe that the NEZ will ever get bowled in the completely? They are just going about it in a more broad smart way. We will be renovating the facade on the outside, bathrooms, and concourse area. All while adding more club seating (2.1 mil extra) and the same amount of suite revenue (3 mil) while spending 50 million less to do so. Its not just building more to support more fans that we dont have, its also tearing down buildings to do so.

We are spending the same amount of money to get more done that we need. We could not have done everything that we are doing with the arena, the Manning Center, concourse, facade and Boone's plan for 150 mil.

Isn't it possible to bowl the thing without really adding a massive amount of seats?

I like how Stanford did it, the stadium looks bigger than it really is, it looks good, and it has a capacity of 50k

I believe we could definitely fill a 70k seat stadium. That's only 9k more fans we need to bring into the stadium.

We could:

1. Add more student tickets to keep pace with increasing enrollment.

2. Offer cheap season ticket packages to new grads (ages 22-30). Designate a section in one of the end zones for these new grads so we can fricking stand and yell during the game and not have to worry about some 60 year old count telling us to sit down.

3. Fill some of the seating for shitty games with high school groups and other youth groups. (Create new fans)

4. Since Oxford is a nationally renowned college football destination more visiting fans will have an opportunity to come.

5. I have a strong feeling that Ole Miss is about to blow up under Hugh Freeze which will further increase demand for tickets.

The WAOM move is to half arse it and go with what Bjork just proposed. I also think it's kinda shitty to raise donations with one rendering and then go back and change it after you've raised that money.

We need to stop acting like the little bitch of the SEC and start acting like we are an equal member of one of the most valuable collegiate leagues in the history of the world.

A&M, LSU, MSU and Alabama didn't half arse their stadium expansions, so why should we?

I don't know why we don't consider hiring more message board posters in the athletic department.

Sounds like everyone has it figured out.

I understand the financial part, but my point is that relief is coming. As well as increased enrollment is already starting to churn out more alumni for the ticket demand aspect. They have an opportunity to get it right with how the NEZ plans will look with the initial expansion. Hoping it looks decent enough till we can go through with the real deal.

concourse, facade

IMO, this is much more needed than more seats. What are the details concerning the facade? The facade in the NEZ renderings looks great. I hope they plan to include a similar look all the way around the stadium.

Bjork has said two things... The west side will be renovated to looks like other renovations over the past decade (SEZ), and said the press box will get work... Both will be started immediately after the season.

Yeah, I had read that. I didn't know if there had been specifics mentioned somewhere and I missed them.

Adding a facade that will flow with the new arena is really going to look nice. That side of campus is going to be sexy.

I wish we had gone with the original basketball arena design instead of the current one. There, I said it

I feel like the new design is more open, and I like that. I would have been fine with either design to be honest.
