He is 6-2 330 and from Lincoln.

How will he fit in AU's defense?

He certainly doesn't seem to fit that style of defense.

He will slim down by the time he is seeing action for AU.

Probably get him to around 315 I would bet.

We have but there's still a need for a NG for the base defense. That's why Daron Payne is a must in this class.

Is Auburn trying to get two DTs in this recruiting class? I'm not too familiar with your DT depth.

Would this hurt Trent recruitment?

Shouldn't. We need DT's bad.

Depth won't be an issue for any DT, much less a guy like Trent.

How so? We're still looking for 300+ pounders up the middle. Ellis Johnson wants a big defensive line. The kid most likely won't play a snap of college football for another 2 years, so he's got plenty of time to drop the fat and add muscle in our S&C program before he hits the field. I can see him in the 310 range when he plays.

Since it's spelled Jaun, I'd assume Jawn tavius if we're speaking phoenetically here.

i'd tend to agree, but I dont think there is any rhyme or reason to the spelling and pronunciation of names nowadays.

Blackson, Wright, Whittaker and Bradley correct? That is at least 3 of our 2 deep at DT, Wright might be playing more end this fall is a rumor I have heard, at least working at the spot some.

We need 2 or 3 good DTs this class to start working into rotation soon. I really don't like the idea of taking a JUCO guy unless he is just ready to go next year.
