So where does Alford end up? Sounds like the backup QBs don't look good and Freeze keeps alluding to Alford at QB. We have quality depth at safety, so does he stay there?
Anyone else have any insider info about how some of the vets are playing? I've heard a lot about the young guys, but was hoping to hear about the upperclassmen. I've heard good things with regards to Denzel and Bo.

Sammie Epps is apparently going to be a slot receiver behind Adeboyjo and not a tight end for the time being.

Yeah, just heard that today as well. That'll provide more depth at wideout and may mean Liggins looks like he could stick at TE. I', more confident in our DE's this year with Fadol and CJ starting and Thompson and Haynes in the rotation. Hopefully Ward can contribute. He's the darkhorse/wildcard of the group.
I'm really hoping Christian Morris is allowed to play. He would help tremendously with depth.
Side note: can't believe Gross didn't put on weight in the offseason, but maybe his frame doesn't allow it.

Alford last year on the scout team made some guys look like idiots when preparing for A&M. If he was eligible he would have had a package that game. He will be used as a zone read guy.
He will get the ball on offense this year because he is a freak athletically.

Epps being moved to the slot can be taken two ways...
1. We're in great shape at TE with Ingram, Parker and Liggins
or
2. He can block a safety or CB but he struggles when asked to black an outside LB
I think the second choice is more likely... As long as the coaches think he can provide quality depth in the slot I'm all for him playing there this season... Kid is a freak physically.

Freeze said he is disappointed with both of them. Liggins and Alford will have packages when Bo is off the field. Buchanan and/or Switchblade will only see the field if we are up one million points on OOC teams.

I did. But I saw him play against private school kids his sophomore year and he was a massive pussy who would quit anytime he was challenged. Hopefully that has changed
